Sound Bible Doctrine

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 1 Tim. 3:16

With Joyful Life, you’ll be able to share foundational truths that shape lives and lead to a growing faith. Whether you teach young children or adults, you can trust Joyful Life to impart the vital doctrinal truths so often left behind in today’s world.

Teach children basic Bible doctrine through uplifting songs, Bible memory, and lessons that address questions like, “Who is Jesus?,” Who wrote the Bible?,” and “Is the Bible true?” Your young people will be well-grounded and ready for discipleship as they move up through each class.

You’ll guide teens and adults into a deeper love for the Lord and a stronger faith. Using lesson plans designed to be practical, you’ll be able to develop applications to daily life that are a natural outflow of walking through God’s Word. As they are prompted to dig deeper in the Bible throughout the week, your class will grow in their relationship with Christ and expand their understanding of Scripture.

An Emphasis on Learning

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels. Prov. 1:5

Because Sunday school is more than just a time for fun or fellowship, you’ll find that each lesson includes age-appropriate teaching dedicated to sharing the truth of the Bible—an education that’s more important than any other.

From the Creation to the Second Coming, your Sunday school classes will discover the great narratives, the amazing wisdom, and the wonderful, life-changing truths the Bible holds. Children love to learn using beautifully illustrated Flash-a-Cards that make the Bible come to life, and handouts for all ages remind children, teens, and adults throughout the week of the truths and applications they studied in Sunday school.

Helpful Teacher Guides

Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. Prov. 9:9

As a Sunday school teacher, you fill such an important need in the church. With Joyful Life, you’ll have support from carefully written teacher materials designed with age-appropriate content in mind. Whether you’re a brand-new teacher or a seasoned veteran, you can prepare with simplicity and teach with confidence using Joyful Life.

For children’s classes, your Teacher Guide includes tips for how to teach children to pray, how to lead students to Christ, insight into good classroom habits, and guidance for teaching Bible lessons, new songs, memory verses and more.

For teen and adult classes, your Teacher Guide gives you steps for preparing to teach, an organized plan for each lesson and a thorough outline of events, along with biblical and practical application.

Purposeful Review

Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. Deut. 11:18

A lot happens in a week; introductory review before each lesson makes a strong connection from week to week.

You’ll see your class not just hearing the Bible, but being able to communicate what they know through the oral review incorporated into each lesson. Activity papers and take-home handouts tie into the lesson and keep the concepts learned on Sunday fresh throughout the week.

Mindful Curriculum Planning

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Eccl. 3:1

With Joyful Life, you will see the thread of salvation in Scripture clearly running through the materials from children to adult, Genesis to Revelation. Beginning with laying a foundation and of who God is in our toddler class, each series weaves in the common thread of our need for a Savior, what Christ did for us, and how we can accept His marvelous gift. A balanced study of both the Old and New Testament helps to connect these events in Scripture.

You’ll find careful planning goes beyond the content; for children through teens, Joyful Life works in a cycle divided into four quarters. This means that once you have the Teacher Materials, you’ll be able to use them over and over.

For adult classes, you’ll be able to choose from sixteen complete teacher-led Bible studies to fit your church’s needs or even coordinate with a sermon series. You can lead your adult classes through the Bible by exploring successes and failures in Christian living with Samuel, Saul, and David, conquering the battles of life with Joshua, and developing the mind of Christ with Learning from Jesus.
